Subject: ANC Maintenance Support

Al and John

I wanted to pass along my thanks to our maintenance contractor in ANC. I’m sorry to say that I didn’t catch the specific AMT’s name that helped us yesterday at departure but he did an outstanding job on 279/31May ANC-DFW. There were a couple of write-ups on the inbound flight including a yellow placard on the water fill valve. While he couldn’t prevent a signficant delay on the outbound (the water service can’t be accomplished simultaneously with boarding due to the location of the manual fill valve in the 757 overhead!) he was very helpful, concerned about doing a good job and keeping our inconvenience to a minimum.

In addition the inbound crew wrote up a status message on the Rudder PCU which he cleared but explored further, upon the direction of the Tech Desk, working with us to complete a rudder check.

Finally, when we had problems with the servicing of the RH aft lav (what a shock on the 757) he jumped right in exploring both options of blocking the lav or attempting the prime the charge from the lavatory itself. (The ground service guys were nice but fundamentally ineffective in curing the problem.) His efforts restored the functioning of the lav and we were finally on our way.

Bottom line – our contractor was prompt, helpful and went above and beyond to do his job.

Thanks

Don

Subject: VERY GOOD JOB OF CAS

Dear Ms Pang:

During our aircraft B2178 was AOG at LAX from May 10 to May 14, CAS gave us very professionally support, especially their LAX Station Manager, dear Mr. Kevin. I want to tell you, my company and his leader what he do.

When we checked the No.3 ENG, found TUBE T/R AIR was broken and R/H T/R insulation and sheet metal damage. Mr. Kevin advised us to change the whole R/H T/R, finally he was exactly correct. Then he helped us to look for the hanger, equipment and tools. He has very good relationship with a lot of company, so everything was set and ready before the parts arrived, didn’t waste the time. During changing the T/R, he changed the parts and operated the forklift very skillfully, gave us very good support.

In one word, I really appreciate Mr. Kevin and CAS for their kindly and professionally support.

Best Regards
